Contrary to popular opinion, estates agents do actually have families and friends! So this blog isn't for anyone who is personally connected to an agent and is looking for gift ideas, you should know them well enough... if you're stuck, you can always give them an Amazon voucher.

Some estate agents see themselves along the lines of an accountant or lawyer - a professional who is advising a client in a substantial financial investment deal. That's all well and good and of course is something that everyone should keep in mind.

We feel that it ignores the fact buying or selling your home is a much more important thing on so many levels. At Matthew Anthony we set out to break the mould of the stereotype estate agent and one of the ways we've done this is by understanding that key point.

Home for Christmas
Decorating and creating a welcoming atmosphere for celebrations brings the idea of 'home' to front and centre. It's just one of the ways that at this time of year home as a concept comes fully into focus. With families and friends gathering round the idea that no one should have to be alone over the holiday season is an important theme.

Ultimately it ties into the way we approach our work - we know we are taking part in a process that will lead to people being able to have a home to call their own, a place for all the important life events that follow on.
